Narrow 10-12 straight flutes on a barrel 16-20 inches in length.
The barrel is fluted behind the gas block and forward of the gas block saddle.
Fluting a barrel removes material, thereby reducing weight while increasing surface area. The increased surface area allows for increased cooling, particularly helpful for long periods of rapid fire.
