We recently received the following e-mail from Ryan Castonguay. I guess Ryan felt he needed to follow up last year's performance with another successful Camp Perry (Ryan won last year's Springfield Armory M1A Match). Great Job Ryan, keep it up. Can't wait to see what you have in store for next season!

Hello John,

This year at the NRA High Power Rifle Championships at Camp Perry I used your White Oak Armament .223 Match Rifle Upper.

I was amazed with the performance and accuracy.  I placed High Junior in both the Army Cup Match with a 198-11x, and Air Force Cup Match with a 200-7x.  Both these matches were 600 yd slow fire.  The one match I fired that really stands out was the Appreciation Cup Match, 200 yd rapid fire, which I won with a 200-15x.  My first ten shot string was a 100-6x, followed by a 100-9x on my second ten shot string.  The group sizes were outstanding!!  The majority of shots from each string were within an inch
I have attached some photos for you.
Your upper shot well above my expectations.  Thank you for building an excellent product.

                                         Sincerely,

                                         Ryan Castonguay

WOA Does it Again!

Congratulations to Michael Borkon. Mike took second overall behind White Oak's own John Holliger in the recent Van Meter IA Regional championship. Mike uses a Krieger barrel fit and chambered by White Oak Precision on his McMillan T2K rifle. John of course used a WOA 1-7 twist barrel on his service rifle to take the win with a 787. Third place went to another White Oak customer, Konrad Powers. John and Konrad also took the top two places in the EIC leg match the previous day. Congratulations and best of luck at Perry to everyone.

Some Good Shooting!

As you know, I really like the Wilson bbls for the T2k. Used one this weekend to shoot a 500-28x on the reduced 100 yard course. Havent shot much XTC since the Creedmoor Cup so I have had the itch to shoot. Nothing available but a 100 yard match in Charlotte at a local club this weekend so I loaded up some 80s on the Dillon 650 Friday night and headed down to Charlotte Saturday morning for the match. My goal was to shoot a clean offhand. Shot some sighters, stuck up a repair center (sighters tore up the bull) and then started the match. Offhand went well, 100-3X Figured that was my good string for the day but then managed a clean sitting, then prone. Started thinking a good score was in the making (I already had the club record at 495-23X but figured I would set it a bit higher maybe) but had never cleaned the MR31 in a match, only in practice. Fired 14 shots, all clean, starting thinking about a clean so I decided I would just shoot the next 6 and not look in the scope till I was done. Finished, looked, clean...one ragged hole. 500-28X. Unfortunately, Ken doesnt register the match with the NRA, just approved, so it wont be a new National Record (current one is 499-19x) but it was still nice to shoot it....first time I have shot a 500 on any course (497 is my previous high).

I then fired in the second relay for fun and shot a 498-26X...dropped 2 offhand cause I got a little lazy on the trigger. :-) All in all, 1000 pts, lost 2.

I put that bbl on in April and it now has about 1500 rds on it. Been getting 2500-3000 before I change them out.

Big thanks for some great, affordable, barrels.

John M. Friguglietti, Jr.

Congratulations to Robert (Baker) DelCotto. Baker shot a fine 972-38 to set
a new National record in the Grand Senior category for the 100 shot regional course at the Lodi WI Triple Crown Regional. Baker was shooting a McMillan T2K
rifle with a White Oak Precision 6xc barrel.

Congratulations also to John Holliger for being Hi Service rifle and second
overall in the match behind Dennis DeMille of Creedmoor Sports who came all
the way from CA to show us how it is done.

John,
Just wanted to let you know I couldn't be happier with the Camo .223 upper. Just like the A2 Service rifle you built for me, this thing shoots ! This afternoon I shot one of my best 5 shot groups in 20 years. (.27@ 100 Yds.)Magazine fed 5 shot groups have never gone over .56 (unless I'm just bangin around). 10 shot groups have never gone over .71. (And that's with a SUPER HOT barrel). When I'm patient and range conditions are right this upper is a TRUE 1/2 MOA gun and probably a 1/4 MOA in the hands of someone who can really shoot. I've attached a photo with some targets.

Thanks Again,
Dan Roark

August 10, 2007 - Congratulations to Chad Kurgan of the CA Jr HP team. Chad shot a 200-16 in
the Scott Trophy match at Camp Perry. This score was good for second place
overall in the match, and tied the national junior record for rapid fire
sitting. To top it off, Chad was shooting a WOA upper that he borrowed the
week before when his upper quit shooting. Good shooting Chad!

Hi John,
I just wanted to show you what the 204 Ruger Upper you built for me has done so far! This is the result from using Sierra's 32gr. Biltz King, Reloader 15, and CCI Small Rifle primers. The orange square in 1 inch. I've been reloading for about 40 years and this is the best group I have ever shot.
Thanks alot!

Chuck

Sept 02, 2006 - John Holliger won the Illinois State Service Rifle Championship with a score of 784-22x!! Link to match results.

"
May 7, 2006 - John Holliger using one of his own WOA SR barrels was first civilian service rifle champ with a 786/800
in the Big Ed's match at Oak Ridge. This emphasizes that John stands behind his work (whether he's behind the trigger of it or not), and, his competition
gear produces winners.

From a recent email message:

Hi John,

I don’t know if you get much feedback on your products but I wanted to thank you for the AR-15 upper in .204 Ruger that you recently shipped.

I went out to the range the day after it arrived. I pulled the pins in my Rock River lower receiver and installed the upper you sent, bore sighted, shoved some .204 ammo that I loaded on the Dillon, and then shot the following five-shot group at 100 yards. I am impressed! I believe that the rifle will better with better conditions and more practice on my part. The last three shots went into the same hole. This was without a doubt the most trouble-free range experience that I have ever had with a new rifle.

Thanks for an awesome product and for getting this out in time for our May prairie dog hunt!

Sincerely,
     Roy Wirthlin

From a recent email message:

Hello,

I got one of your left handed match uppers around Christmas and I wanted to
thank you for your workmanship in the rifle. It's the best rifle I've ever
shot. The snow finally melted and first time out with the rifle shot a sitting rapid fire of 100-9X, and I was able to
call the 10 at 6!

WHAT A RIFLE!

Thanks again,
     Gus Dunfey
